Opaque 6 color process - a replacement for CMYK on textiles.

Opaque Process Color was developed in response to smaller printers with only a six color printing capability that have felt left out of the advantages of index separations. While you can achieve a great deal using just six spot colors with SPS 2000, photographic reproduction was out of reach on a six color press.

The on;ly alternative until now was CMYK which apart from being very difficult to print was unsuitable for the demands of colored garments.

Opaque process color is a newly formulated set of opaque process inks. The inks have a special color balance and viscosity that was specially formulated to mix evenly using square dots. These INKS are available from Wilflex - www.wilflex.com and QCM -www.qcminks.com.

Ask for the Opaque Process color inks for Screenprint Separator.

The colors are also provided on the CD for those of you bold enough to try to mix your own set. It is a lot harder than you might think to get the mix right - the ink is much more critical than those used in simmulated process. It is also important to note that we will not give tech support to users who make their own ink.

Here is jesus printed using the 6 color opaque process. Yes, his lips were that color in the original.

All the opc processes separations are push button.

On the left we have the original proof. On the right is the final screen printed image - vastly superior to 4 color process.
